"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

This verse is easily interpreted. No hidden meaning. At the same time it is a stepping-off point on a journey to find out more.
What is the broad road?
What destruction?
Why do so many people seem like they're doing great even if they don't follow Jesus?
Jesus is talking about a new way of living under His lordship; putting Him first before other things and trusting Him to care and provide like a good shepherd.
This new way is not exclusive -- it is open to all without restriction. But it is the Way of the Lord, not the way of the world or other gods. Under His protection and provision we receive the free gift of salvation and then turn our focus onto others and how He would have us love them.
